Afro Unites, Sports and Entertainment Event Promoting Afro Culture Comes To East London

This July sees the launch of Afro Unites, a unique Multi Sports and Entertainment event celebrating and promoting Afro Culture.

Afro Unites will involve a two day Basketball and Football charity tournament with high profile athletes followed by an A-list Music concert on each day.

The Sporting tournaments hosted by Mandem on the Wall and Eddie Kadi will involve four male and four female teams for Football and Basketball. Each team will have a designated Afro Unites charity and Afro Unites will donate £1,000 to each winning team for their nominated charity. Afro Unites charities are all causes which impact upon the African Community; ACLT (119516), BBC Children in Need (802052), Plan (276035), SANE (296572), National Aids Trust (297977), Diabetes UK (215199). The Football tournament will take place on Saturday 23rd July and the Basketball tournament on Sunday 24th July.

Afro Unites founded by brothers Ade and Ayo Barek provides a platform where popular Musicians, Dancers and Comedians can all celebrate the rich culture under one roof. The newly launched platform promotes positive cultural exchange in an increasingly diverse society. Afro Unites aims to promote grassroots sports and give an opportunity for all to showcase their talents. Afro Unites aim to advocate for charities and organisations related to Afro Culture to bring about positive social change in communities. In addition the brand aims to bring businesses together to work as a networking platform promoting enterprise within the Afro Unites community.

The Music Concerts will be a celebration of the culture with a collection of UK and International artists;

Saturday 23rd July: Wiley, Frisco, Chip, Fekky, Akala, Donaeo, Kyla, Crazy Cousinz, 

Sunday 24th July: Fuse ODG, Stylo G, Ghetts, Maverick Sabre, Mr Eazi, Moelogo 

Arena tickets for Afro Unites vary from £15 to £50 (inc. handling charge) and are now on general sale
