On Wednesday 17th August 2016 history was made at the first ever ‘Rah Boy Party’, hosted by the phenomenal P Montana. With performances from Afrobeats sensation and MOBO nominee Mista Silva! This was the launching of his new single, said to be 2016’s top summer hit, ‘Lifestyle’ which is now available to stream and purchase on all digital stores. It was a sold out event with over 200 attendance. We had special appearances including industry professionals from BBC, Sony and British athletes including professional boxer, Chris Kongo. Not forgetting Fuse ODG’s chart topping producer Killbeatz. Everyone was out to have a good night.
Following the success of recent events ‘Loves Afrobeats’ have been given a showcasing opportunity at the UK’s biggest urban music event Industry Takeover on 1st October 2016 supported by Complex, GRM Daily and Represent Radio brought to you by Urban Development.
For the first time ever will have an exclusive Loves Afrobeats showcase curated by P Montana and Mista Silva hosted by MTV’s Mika with very special guests TBA.
Although it was a great night, due to issues with venue we won’t be holding the pre-carnival party this wednesday. To compensate we’re offering our whole mailing list half price tickets (£5) of the Industry Takeover All Dayer.

British Afrobeat star Mista Silva is set to release his debut album later this year, and today drops off “Lifestyle”, the first offering from the long-awaited project. Equally adept at rhyming in both English and mother tongue Twi, Silva has built up a worldwide reputation for exporting an Afrobeat flavour with an individual UK twist. Produced by frequent collaborator King Zion, their chemistry is evident on “Lifestyle”, a laid-back chiller sprinkled with elements of tropical pop; Mista Silva works his trademarked vocal and rhythmic delivery over pounding drums and a sharp, dancefloor-ready bassline to great effect. Speaking on the track and its unmistakable flavour, Silva told Complex: “‘Lifestyle’ is what an individual makes of it: to live care-free of what the world may think, to believe in one’s style of life.”
