Nu Nude promote underrepresented diversity in the fashion and media industry

Nu Nude is a movement launched in October 2016 by college friends Vaby and Joanne. The initial idea for the brand was to redefine the word ‘nude’ by uniting women of all shapes/sizes and ethnicities. Later on during their journey, the pair found that is was not only women of certain skin colours and plus sized individuals that were underrepresented in the fashion industry, but also individuals of different physical abilities.

Nu Nude’s aim is to diminish the ideology that perfection is the key, and to be that brand that makes every single woman feel amazing. Regardless of stretch marks, cellulite. The message of this amazing movement is that “Whatever your difference may be, it is absolutely amazing”

The Nu Nude team recently wrapped up their latest campaign named ‘Self love’ in April. The campaign featured a whole diverse amount of women from different ethnicities/ages/abilities. The aim of this campaign was to inspire individuals as well as brands to also do the same.
