Towards the end of 2014, pictures of ladies who dyed their armpit hair in loud colours went viral on social media. Roxie Hunt, a hairstylist at Seattle salon Vain was the first to implement this trend with a customers armpit hair.

According to Hunt,

We laughed and marveled at the beauty of her blue pit hair, It was too good to be true. The color in her pits perfectly matched the color on her head. I felt a major win for body hair.

This fashion is gradually becoming a trend particularly in Los Angeles and with high hopes it would spread round the world.
