It seems this year, slowing down is far from our people’s minds. And by our people, we are talking the African, the goal-driven, and the woman.

The latest to join a league of firsts, is Nigerian pilot, Adeola Ogunmola Sowemimo who officially, is the first female pilot to work for Qatar Airways.

A proud moment for us Africans- this is also an irony move by the airline, following the controversy and subsequent apology that surfaced mid last year when Qatar Airways CEO, Akbar Al Baker, claimed that a woman would be incapable of doing his job.

Sowemimo’s appointment is a clear #ChallengeAccepted and gives women the motivation to continue breaking masculine boundaries!

A powerful congratulations from the GA team!

What boundaries do you think we still need to break as African women? Tweet, Fb or comment your thoughts on our social media pages.
