Created in 2017, the VAMP Power Brunch is gradually becoming a household name by championing and empowering talented millennial black women.

The event looks to honour black women from various industries like beauty, lifestyle, blogging, business and more during Black History Month in the United Kingdom.

In its second year, the event welcomed 25 women to the stunning Devonshire Members Club on 27th October for an intimate brunch filled with inspiring talks, celebration and networking.

Speakers on the day included Melanie Eusebe and Deborah Okenla who delivered talks on funding your startup and developing/ nurturing relationships on the way up. Guests also participated in a letter writing session where they were asked to write letters to their younger and older selves.

2018’s Power Brunch was sponsored by Devonshire members club and various brands including Swarovski, Huda Beauty and Soap & Glory who all contributed to the guest’s jam-packed goodie bags.

Touching on the ideas and success of this year’s event, Christina Okorocha said, “Our purpose as an agency is to represent the underrepresented and see women of colour winning and included in content and campaigns because we know how amazing they are. The VAMP Power Brunch is a chance for us to celebrate black history month, empowering a new group of women every year who we believe are trailblazers in their industries. We encourage the women to own their achievements and celebrate themselves whilst also reflecting on their success and looking to the future.”

The VAMP Power Brunch is held annually and will welcome a new set of black women each year for Black History Month aiming to inspire, connect and empower each guest.
