Zambian Breweries has the best quality culture practices in Africa among all the companies in its parent company AB InBev’s group.
The Africa Quality Culture award is part of the Voyager Plant Optimization (VPO) excellence programme introduced by the group across all its business operations to highlight best manufacturing practices. The programme is based on seven pillars: Safety, Quality, People, Environment, Maintenance, Logistics and Management.
“It’s about the best culture in quality. When safety is number one, quality is always there, and this ensures that every bottle is of best quality. Zambian Breweries has the best mindset for quality, and I am very happy that we have shown this through winning this continental award,” said Zambian Breweries’ Brewery Operations Director Franz Schepping.
The breweries’ Lusaka and Ndola Plants won the Africa AB InBev award during the recent group’s VPO conference in South Africa. The Brewery company claims to have taken the VPO initiative seriously in all its plants. Since introducing the programme, the business has aligned its roles and responsibilities while ensuring that its work system is more efficient
The award comes a few weeks after Zambian Breweries Country Director Jose Moran won the Lusaka Securities Exchange 2018 Leadership Award.
