ARISE Fashion Week happens to be part of the core of the fashion atmosphere in Africa when it first came into existence about 11 years ago. Quickly establishing a respectable niche not just on the continent, but other parts of the world as well.
showcasing and promoting African designers on the runways of the world, from London’s famous Royal Albert Hall to Washington DC’s Kennedy Center, to the legendary triple appearance during New York’s iconic Fashion Week, to Lagos, to Johannesburg, to Cape Town and Paris.
The show took a break, however, based on the popular request from past participants and fashion enthusiasts, it is making a come back unto the scene again.
From March 10 to April 2, 2018, at Lagos Continental Hotel (formerly known as Intercontinental Hotel). It promises to give patrons the best Easter experience of this year. With great records, working with some of the most prominent fashion brands in and out Africa like as Gavin Rajah, Oswald Boateng, David Tlale, LaQuan Smith, Lanre DaSilva, DEOLA, Jewel By Lisa, Ituen Basi, Odion Mimonet etc. The show also brought top models such as Naomi Campbell, Alek Wek, Liya Kedebe, Oluchi Orlandi, Grace Bol, Georgie Badiel, Millen Magese and more from across the world.
ARISE Fashion Week runway 2018 Lagos will feature 45 designers from 14 countries – South Africa, Botswana, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, France, Morocco, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Caribbean and Nigeria. And, the best from the African show will be selected to showcase during New York Fashion Week in September 2018.
