It’s exciting that Africans all over the world are beginning to trace their roots- in fashion, culture, lifestyle and beauty. There is a wave of change blowing in the African air, and the wind is cutting across African female folk in their transitioning to natural kinky hair. A workshop hosted by Nature Gentle hair Institute in V.I Lagos, saw the African hair for the beauty and texture it is. The session featured Questions on the best treatment of natural hair and its maintenance, while the institute’s trained trichologist was on hand to smartly answer them.

The Institute was established to bridge the knowledge gap in professional services rendered in salons in Africa. The Institute trains persons seeking a career in hair dressing, styling and design for the first time, and runs continuous professional development courses for practicing hair stylists.

For those transitioning, or rocking the natural hair, a next edition of the seminar will hold in the future to accommodate women outside Lagos.
