“The Carter Push Party” is the same as baby shower, just that Beyonce and Jay Z wanted to add their own unique feel and vibe to it to differentiate it a bit from the norm and based on that they chose to go African for the event, from decors inspired by African cultures to the celebs all cloud in African fabrics or a mixture of it.

Legendary Nigerian multi-instrumentalist who is accredited mostly as the pioneer of Afrobeat music, Fela Kuti had his composition enjoyed at the party by the attendees, to emphasized on the saying that “Legends never die, they just take break or rest”.

Beyonce was dressed in a head wrap, a bra top, long skirt and with her henna-embellished bare belly, Jay Z wore all white dress with an African hat and chain designed in the shape of Africa.

Serena Williams, Lala Anthony, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Tina Knowles, Vanessa Kelly, Lorraine were among the celebs that turned up for the party.
