South African media darling, Bonang Matheba joined the list of influential leaders at the United Nations headquarters to speak on relevant issues affecting the girlchild, most notably, education.

It’s a topic Bonang has taken so seriously over the years, especially with the establishment of the Bonang Matheba Bursary Fund in 2016 to provide free education opportunity to young females in South Africa. The discussion at the UN’s headquarters was titled 12 Years to Break Barriers and Leave No Girl Behind which is a campaign to enable every single girl to have the best of education by 2030.
The discussion had in attendance leaders such as British Prime Minister, Theresa May, Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, Norwegian Prime Minister, Erna Solberg and the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.
