Burna Boy is heading to South Africa as part of the headline act for Africa Unite Concert.

Following a series of xenophobic attacks on other Africans in South Africa this year, the Nigerian Afrofusion singer took to his twitter page to express his dissatisfaction with the way authorities are handling the situation and promised to not step foot in South Africa until the attacks stop.

His tweets created a lot of back and forth debate with South African rapper, AKA, and others. However, Burna Boy has been included in the list of headline acts to perform at the Africa Unite Concert on November 23, at the Sun Arena, Pretoria, together with Jidenna, Kwesta and Busiswa.

Burna Boy went on Twitter to announce his willingness to see the end to the attacks and also wants to give part of the proceeds from the concert to victims. Africa United Concert is a partnership between Play Network Africa and Phambili Media SA.

He has been on a winning streak with the recent album and tours – The African Giant, selling out prominent venues, the latest one being his show at the Wembley Arena, where he once again cemented his place as the reigning king of Afrobeat in Africa.
