Burna Boy has firmly established his mark as the African Giant in music, a journey he started to coin this year, and it has been fruitful.
No one needs a reminder again to see his impressive works over the years. Big stages, big shows around the world with the album that solidified the position for him. He has been one of the hottest musicians on the continent in the era of Afrobeat. A genre that blends African highlife, and Western RnB, and Carribean reggae.
His progressive domination of the music world gets another boost, he is added to the list of collaborators of the Queen & Slim soundtrack album. The Nigerian crooner channelled his role model in music and the father of Afrobeat, Fela Kuti on My Money, My Baby, for the film.
This means Burna Boy joins Lauryn Hill and others on the same album for the film. But, we would have to wait till November 27th to see the movie. However, Hollywood fans watched at the AFI Festival a couple of days ago as it made its world premiere.
