A list of artists, fashion and art lovers invaded the streets of James Town Accra to celebrate the beauty of Ghanaian arts over the weekend at the Chale Wote Street Art Festival 2018. Arguably setting the pace of becoming one of the well-patronized art festivals in the continent, some consider it a season of celebration while others see it as the moment to show off their understanding of fashion and art.
Live paintings of iconic Africans like Nelson Mandela, former President of South Africa, Kofi Annan, Former Chef of the United Nations and historical monuments. Moreover, stories of the birth and death of Jesus Christ was performed live during the festival, at this moment every single minor and major streets of James Town was glowing.
Chale Wote Street Art Festival has grown from small gathering to larger must-attend festival and continues on the progress of taking over the continent to draw people from all walks of life. A glimpse of that has been shown a couple of times.
