For the past week we at Glam have been talking about collaborations; collaborations in music, art and fashion. We have been discussing the future of African designers and whether collaborations with western or “established” brands is the way forward into the globalisation of these niche brands.

Swarovski and Vogue Italia have taken such a collaboration five upcoming international designers to give them a greater platform to showcase their work. One such designer is Anita Quansah, a London based jeweler with a West African background.

Weaving beads and Swarovski crystals together she has created a line that depicts the regality of her culture.
