Cynthia Erivo made black Hollywood proud by getting the nod for Oscars 2020, and she was spot on at the event.
Even though she didn’t win any of the categories she was nominated in, she lived a lasting impression. Her top-class performance Stand Up, the soundtrack of the hit movie – Harriet was enough to blow everyone away.
Erivo got the nod for Best Actress and Best Soundtrack, all for her roles in Harriet. Her nominations alone were a win for people of colour especially when there was so much talk about diversity at the Oscars.
However, Erivo even took her style on the night to another height, she prepared so well. Styled by Jason Bolden in an ethereal Atelier Versace, and blonde by hairstylist Coree Moreno and makeup by Terrell Mullin.
