Nigerian singer Davido released his new album, A Good Time, on November 22, since then he has been promoting it in the United States.
He stopped by the studios of OkayAfrica to discuss the album, his relationship with Wizkid and Afrobeat. The genre is said to be the hottest in the world now, Davido said, it is taking over because of the fusion of the dancehall rhythms which makes it easy to relate to.
On his relation with Wizkid, the Fall hitmaker said he and his fellow Afrobeat star were not having any misunderstanding, it was the fans debating to find the best, even though he admitted that there a few differences, it wasn’t that rough.

Davido’s new album features collaborations with Popcaan, Chris Brown, Yonda, Wurld, Zlatan, Naira Marley, and more. He released singles like Blow My Mind, Risky, Fall, If, Assurance ahead of the album. These singles became instant hits, and favourite among Afrobeat lovers.
He was spotted at the Madison Square Garden a few days ago with J.Cole, Trey Songz and more, watching a basketball match.
