Ghanaian singer, Efya did what she does best at what could probably be her last appearance on the annual GirlTalk Concert. Giving the fact that she bowed out last year after her contract expired but had to return on the basis of popular request from the fans who wanted to see her for one more time before she officially hands in her boots off the stage.
She took the stage and delivered a variety of emotional performances and interacted with audience throughout her performance. In her fourth year as the headline act, she quickly built a niche that music lovers in the country have come to know her for and that has contributed immensely to request being put in each year for her to stay again.
A whole lot of surprises, a core characteristic of the GirlTalk concert every single year was witnessed with Ghanaian highlife legend, Amakye Dede being the biggest of the surprise on the night. Before she was joined by new talents on the block – Adina, Sista Afia, Kidi, Kuami Eugene, King Promise, Eno, Feli Nuna, Eno, and Black Entertainment Television Award winner, Stonebwoy.
Budding fashionista and celebrity stylist, Chris Vincent matched each performance by Efya with a unique outfit to take the story from the beginning to the end and it was just delightful to watch. On the other hand, the show wasn’t just about performances, Famed Ghanaian journalist who selflessly dedicated her time to champion the campaign against drug abuse especially Tramadol was organized by the GirlTalk Organization with Air Namibia Tickets. And she surprised everyone by picking one of the ushers on the night to travel with.
