Virgil Abloh’s Footprint SS20 collection for Louis Vuitton further expands on the creative imagination of the Ghanaian designer.
As a means to breathe fresh air into the campaign ahead of its showcase later in Paris, the designer flew a team to Morocco to have the shoot. He scouted local models who assembled in Tangier and Chefchaouen, photographed by Amsterdam based Dutch photographer, Viviane Sassen.
Virgil Abloh takes his designs to the extreme with the will to take risks to achieve results. Therefore making most of his final works to stand out all the time. The collection for Louis Vuitton was first previewed at Paris Fashion Week in 2019, the shoot for the collection this year centres on the flower motif which is seen throughout the collection. Another motif is the boyhood notion, picking childhood ideas of kite-flying, flower picking and also summer celebration at the beach.
