Genevieve Nnaji has dominated the African movie screens for decades and she’s not about to stop now!
With the release of her directorial debut feature film on family business, finances and the struggle to maintain the legacy titled Lion Heart which premiered on Netflix, Genevieve is on a mission to break barriers most Africans can only dream of! The film crossed continents and was premiered at major festivals and got huge exposure with the acquisition deal from Netflix.
The Nigerian film superstar beis now starring in a new film called Farming by British-Nigerian filmmaker Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, set between the 1960s and 1980s when a lot of Nigerian families sent their children to white families in the United Kingdom for a better life and education.
Farming is based on the true-life story Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, bringing to the foreground the untold stories on hate and racism in the UK’s history during this era. The film also stars Damson Idris and set to debut in cinemas on October 11th in the UK and October 25th in the USA.
