Season in Season out, we get to witness spectacular fashion shows on the global stages. Just before the year ends, there are a couple of shows lined up to expose designers and models to the market to continue to enlarge the fashion scene on the continent. Here are some of the fashion weeks that you must consider attending before the last quarter of the year ends.
1. Lagos Fashion Week
The city of Lagos will once again see some amazing designs showcased on the runway from October 24 to 27, 2018. Already, this show is leading the way for emerging creatives as well by initiating the Fashion Focus Africa, the team has already held seminars around four cities – Accra, Abuja, Lagos and Nairobi. In of these cities, brand building, sustaining brands’ position in the market, catching up with fashion trends, and a whole lot were discussed and shared by experience fashion entrepreneurs.
2. Accra Fashion Week
Two editions in a year, the first was Chilly Rainy, with the one – Harmattan edition scheduled to take place on October 6 and 7 at CFAO Ghana office, Airport, Accra. A modification has been made to see models walk the runway with cars. Sounds fascinating!
3. Plussize Fashion Week Africa
This season’s edition of Plussize Fashion Week will build on the core message of the previous offering. Boosting of self-confidence and body positivity to create diversity in the industry by using Plus-sized models on the runway from November 3 to 4, 2018 in Lagos.
4. African Fashion International (Johannesburg Fashion Week)
Johannesburg Fashion Week gathers some of best in the field of fashion, it runs from October 4 to 6. Creating the platform for emerging brands also.
