The days are drawing closer, we can only imagine what each contestant participating in the 2018 edition of Miss Universe in Impact Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok – Thailand must be feeling. The big question however, is who will be taking over from last year’s winner from South Africa, Demi-Leigh? She drew legit tears and joy to many viewers on the continent when she was crowned the reigning queen of the Universe for 2017.

It’s been another year, and while Demi has left an unforgettable mark on the throne, this years winner will have to take it a step further to be able to carry the mantle for 2018 into the next year. If you’ve been living under a rock most of your life, Miss Universe is no joke, the pageant assembles over 90 contestant from all over the worlds, each a queen in their own countries, who will be gearing to impress the judges and audiences with their knowledge on social, environmental and economic issues.

Miss Universe Ghana 2018, Akpene Diata Hoggar waved her Ghanaian fans goodbye to board her flight to Thailand to fight for the crown. We had snaps of her at the airport.

Here are all the activities lined up from now till the grand finale.

December 2 – Contestants arrival

December 5 – Welcome Gala Dinner and Thai Night

December 6 to 7 – Thailand Excursion tour

December 10 – National Costume Competition

December 13 – Preliminary Competition
