Adekunle Kosoko known on stage as Adekunle Gold found his love for music from his early age when he joined his church choir and went on to write his first song at the age of 15.
He made massive statement and grab the attention of music lovers with his “Sade” single which he has since backed with several releases leading to the outdoor of his new album – “Gold”.
Adekunle Gold likes to call his style of music the Urban Highlife coined from the influence of legends like King Sunny Ade, he has remained few of the African musicians who stuck to their local fashion and finding ways to blend it with the foreign style to bring different flavor on board.
Establishing that name associated easily with Africa and African wear specialist has become a trademark bestowed upon him by his fans who even try to follow his footsteps by copying some of his unique style and sense of fashion which is deeply rooted in the continent.
He has successfully breathed some level of fresh air into the way African musicians are styled to appear in public and his consistency to that is what is becoming a relevant part of him.
