Issa Rae doesn’t look like she has 24 hours in a day just like all of us, the American producer is taking over other businesses in style.
The creator of the popular television series, Insecure has gone into coffee business by partnering with the owners and operators of Hilltop Coffee and Kitchen, Ajay Relan and Yonnie Hagos to open a new Coffee Shop. Rae and her team chose her neighbourhood, Inglewood, California for the shop.
At age 34, Rae looked like, she is just starting her career even though she has achieved a lot, she announced the opening of the Coffee shop on Tuesday, December 10th, 2019 via her Instagram.
“I’ve always wanted a coffee shop in my neighbourhood, Coffee shops facilitate productivity in so many ways, they facilitate collaboration,” she continues. “I personally have done all of my writing in coffee shops. So it always disappointed me that there weren’t any that were Black-owned, people of colour-owned in my neighbourhood.”
Before opening the Coffee Shop, Rae also partnered Atlantic Records with to open Raedio record label, she signed TeaMarrr, as the first musician on the label. The signing came with the release of the official song and video from the singer called Kinda Love.
Furthermore, she is currently has a whole lot of movies coming soon including The Photograph and more.
