Jidenna Explains The Concept Behind '85 To Africa' Studio Album

Jidenna’s new album 85 To Africa considered being a realistic capture of Afrobeat from a different angle and a few other genres.

Since the release of the album, the Nigerian-born American singer released the album via Wondaland Records and Epic Records. In an interview on Okayplayer, Jidenna explained the concept of the album came from a conversation with a close associate who came up with the name 85 To Africa during a conversation.

The 34-year-old singer then turns into a song and later the decision to keep it as the title of the album. Jidenna released 85 To Africa on August 23rd, 2019, this follows previous works – The Chief, and the EP Boomerang.
