Basketball's Great Kobe Bryant, 41, Dies In Helicopter Crash With Daughter

The entire world woke up to the news of the sudden death of one of the most decorated players in Basketball, Kobe Bryant and his daughter.

According to reports by several news portals in the United States, Bryant was travelling in his private helicopter with his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna and others, at Calabasas, California. In total, there were about four passengers on the helicopter before it crashed on Sunday, January 26th, 2020.

It is not clear what had caused the crash. Kobe Bryant is celebrated and highly respected for his long career in the sports. He was one of the players that were drafted early into NBA, at the age of 19 in 1996 by the Charlotte Hornets. He then moved to the Lakers where he has spent 20-years of his career. Bryant retired in 2016, but before hanging his basketball boots, he won two Olympic gold medals, was an 18-time all-star, has five NBA Championships under his belt.

In 2020, he was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, after his retirement, he worked on the movie – Dear Basketball, which he won an Academy Award for in 2018. Bryant is survived by his wife, Vanessa Laine Bryant, Natalia, Bianka and Capri.

The news has come as a blow to celebrity friends, some have shared their shocks and condolences to the family. See below:
