From the launch of the limited edition bottle of Belvedere Vodka in partnership with talented Nigerian artist, Laolu Senbanjo at the New York Fashion Week to the announcement of a tour of Nigeria.
Laolu’s works have pretty much got the attention of all and sundry including global superstars like Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Swiss Beatz, Seun Kuti, Tony Allen, Alek Wek, and Danielle Brooks. He taps into his Yoruba heritage to draw on the skin of his clients and also designing clothes, shoes, carpets and more. His partnership with Belvedere Vodka is a celebration of cultures from two continents, bring the history of the brand and that of his work together to achieve beautiful results.
The tour will mainly be in Abuja and Lagos from September 24 to 29, where he will unveil the Belvedere Vodka limited bottle edition to the Nigerian market and touch base with his roots once more.
Laolu Senbanjo is Nigerian by birth but is based in Brooklyn, New York. He is among the new generation of creatives who are working with the African narrative. With a legal background, Laolu’s first thought is always how to use his work to highlight social issues, so the tour will benefit the (RED) organization and the Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa.
