Even as we anticipate the Passion For Motherland Showcase taking place at the Hackney Town Hall come 21st August 2015, here is a list of designers lined up to showcase at this years event.

Kwame Koranteng

Kwame Koranteng Bespoke Tailoring Creates Unique Hand Made Suits and Tailoring for Men and Women Accross the world.

Specialising in bespoke suit making and tailoring for men and women in the United Kingdom and established in 2009; Kwame Koranteng Bespoke Tailoring is devoted bringing flair and individuality, using unique accessories and working with careful precision and no automation cutting and assembling all his suits by hand.

With flattering cuts and exquisite accesories, each item Kwame Koranteng creates is a unique and custom hand made piece with an identity of its own. With suits for men and women, his expertise is brought to bear as he creates pieces that are timeless.

Angela Plummer

Internationally Renowned Hair Artist Angela Plummer grew up in North London and started braiding hair at the tender age of ten at the time braiding was only a hobby, Angela never though that later on in life this would be her career 

Not content with a regular head to style Angela pushes the art of  braiding way beyond familiar boundaries into the realms of intricate  patterns, conceptual headpieces or even whole outfits!

Angela’s creativity is expressed throughout her work which she describes as Artistic, Avant Garde and Bespoke over the years Angela has developed a very distinctive style of braiding.

Boutique de L’Afrique

Founded commercial/print international model, entrepreneur Lorna A. Boutique de L’Afrique is a high-end bespoke affordable and luxurious fashion brand which specialises in elegant/corporate/cocktail/casual wears on limited edition pieces for all ages.  The brand caters for men, women and children.

The quality of creativity is strikingly visible in ensembles produced by the brand. The company prides itself in delivering uniqueness. All designs are handmade both in UK and sometimes in Ghana with quality African fabrics.

All pieces are made tailor-made for each client. There are limited pieces in production of edition clothes. This is to make it exquisite and launch new pieces for up-coming seasons, so when it’s sold out one can reorder same design in print of their choice.

They also work on commissioned pieces for those important events in your life, birthdays, weddings, parties and much more by appointment.

“The company is going from strength to strength. We hope to participate in big highlight events such as Africa Fashion Week London next year said creative designer” said its creative designer, Lorna.

Ms Pembe Kumbi, presents “Kumbi Kouture “. Fashion and designing are one of her biggest passions. This is what she loves to do.
“To get to where you want to be, a support system (such as family and friends) will come in handy to help drive you towards your destination. But you must also be willing to make a scarifice. To work hard inorder to get there” – Pembe Kumbi

Kumbi Kouture collections include: Jackets/Coats for both men and women, Skirts, dresses, trousers, shirts and many other ranges.
Miss Kumbi’s job is to ensure that in customizing and designing people’s outfits, they stand out. And that by wearing the outfit, it splashes out/reveals their personality.
