This week has been full of DRAMA! From Baby Mama issues to social media crisis, I have the latest gossip to keep you up to date.

New Look: Okay so I have two new looks to show you, both blondes! Personally I think this look absolutely KILLS on Raven Symone! It just goes with her whole image.

imageI’m not too sure how I feel about the platinum blonde on Kim K though. What do you guys think? Hot or Hmm? I’m sure it will grow on me with a little time.

imageSpeak Truth: For the amount of hate Kanye West gets for the nonsense he speaks most times, we really don’t give him enough credit for the truth he does say. On a detour from shooting the visuals for his new track All Day, Kanye stopped off at Oxford University to impart some words of “wisdom” to a group of students. Okay so yes he talked about himself and his own ego; its Kanye, would we expect anything else? But he actually articulated some ideas that got me thinking. Here’s a synopsis of what his speech included that’s worth taking note of:

“We have the resources as a civilisation to find a utopia {removal of religion, race, gender, and somehow come together to find solutions for a broken planet}, but we’re led by the most greedy and the least noble…This humanity that I talk about, this civilisation that I talk about, this future utopia I talk about…it can only happen through collaboration...We’ve been sold a concept of joy through advertising, through car advertising, through fashion branding. It’s not the concept of time, time with your family, time with your friends, the little time that we do have on earth and what we do with that. It was somehow sold to us through a Gucci bag or something…Time is the only luxury. It’s the only thing you can’t get back…People say it takes a village to raise a child. People ask me how my daughter is doing. She’s only doing good if your daughter’s doing good. We’re all one family…Imagine a world with no war, and imagine if everyone’s main focus, more so than going out to a club, their main focus was to help someone else.”

Not bad huh? Before we critique him lets applauded his truth.

Social Media Madness: So much happening on social media this week but firstly lets address this one thing. On Tuesday, Keyshia Cole uploaded a compromising video on Instagram of her ex-husband Daniel Gibson at the strip club with a caption saying:

This is what your doing while your baby turns 5 tho? And hasn’t even gotten a call from his father, I love you!? Or say HappyBDay! #ALLIN #What? #TheNextB*tchPuss? #JustWhenITriedToGiveUCredit #Smh #KeepMovingAroundTho

Daniel’s reply (also on instagram): imageReally? I mean really? For two grown people to take to social media like that and use their young son as ammunition is beyond immature! I guess they realised that too as not long after both Keyshia and Daniel removed their posts. HMM!!

imageOn other news, I’m sure by now you’ve all heard the drama surrounding Chris Brown. Yep, Breezy has a nine month old baby girl that he, and the world, just found out about. After two days of silence, CB took to instagram on Friday to address the issue:

How about yall kiss my ass. I’ma say what the f**k I want, say what I want when I want and don’t owe you nosey muthaf**kahs a damn thing. THIS FRUITZ #500

Clearly he won’t be saying anything any time soon. But I know you are all wondering what does Chris Brown’s girl Karrueche has to say about the baby mama drama?

Listen. One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me.

It would seem that Karrueche is falling back and doing what’s right by her. Considering the couple’s previous track record though, I have the feeling she’ll be back soon. Watch this space…

I tell you Instagram has been busy this week! For all that has gone on, Miss Iggy Azalea has come off. That’s right, The Original Classic is no longer on Instagram due to the amount of hate she has been getting; this just days after Robert Flores from ESPN claimed the young rapper is killing Hip Hop. It seems that the accumulation of hate on social media was getting too much and  a few weeks before, Iggy was already considering taking  a sabbatical from social media as it incited unwanted aggression. Personally I think its brave of her. Who needs all that negativity anyway?

To mark fifty years since the horrors that took place on the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama, President Barak Obama gave a particularly moving speech reminding us that although there has been much change over the past decades, there is still much to do! Catch the full speech here.

So that’s just some of the things that have been going on this past week. I am sure that the next will be full of just as much drama and controversy, so stay posted to keep up to date.
