The February Issue from the magazine’s behind the scenes with the editor-in-chief, Edward Enninful, sees the actress talking about her family life, and how she has incorporated that into her private and public lives as a Hollywood actress. She gave credit to her parent, her dad, who is politicians and the mother who was extremely a private person. Growing up between these two diverse personalities at home influenced her life greatly.
Talking about her most admired moment on the red carpet, Lupita Nyong’o chose her Met Gala 2019 rainbow outfit, which obviously became the talk of every fashion enthusiasts in the world. From the feathered rainbow dress to the makeup and the long hairstyle with the large gold combs, everything on that day proved she is taking time to work on her style. Lupita’s inspiration for her appearance on red carpets depends on the theme for the program.
Additionally, she mentioned revered personalities such as Steve Mcqueen, Oprah Winfrey, Octavia Spencer and others have influenced her growth and development in the Hollywood film industry over the years. However, it isn’t about movies all the time, she has authored the children’s book on colourism – Sulwe.
