If there is any genre that is being lauded right now as he best it’s most certainly Afrobats. Mainly produced and consumed within the West African regions, the genre takes it roots from legends like Fela Kuti to the new generation like Davido, Sarkodie, Tiwa Savage and the likes.
This has led to the birth of Afrobeat Conference 2018. It takes place from Friday 2nd November to Sunday 4th November at the Fillmore Miami Beach organized by Afrobeats International LLC. The decision to host it outside Africa is to take the genre Afrobeats to the US and reintroduce it as a mainstream genre.
