First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama has released her work out playlist after President Barack Obama revealed his own.
Barack Obama’s summer playlist was the talk of most music lovers, the list included fast-rising Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Rema, the Stateman chose Iron Man from the singer’s extended play. Towards the end of December, Barack Obama shared another playlist, this included Burna Boy’s popular song – Anybody off the African Giant album.
Michelle Obama also followed suit by sharing her work playlist just a few hours ago. The list included heavyweight musicians mainly from the United States, however, she proved her openness to songs from other genres around the world as well.
Her workout playlist has the latest song from Burna Boy titled My Money, My Baby, which he composed as part of the soundtrack single on the Queen & Slim movie album. She also added the viral song, Drogba (Joanna) from UK-based Ivorian musician Afro B.
Burna Boy and Afro B happen to be the only African musicians whose songs featured on the work playlist compiled by Michelle Obama. Lately, African music is taking over the world, with Afrobeat being the main genre leading the pace. Hence drawing the attention of the globe to Africa and its various music genres. Furthermore, Burna Boy’s African Giant album has been nominated for Grammy this year alongside other talented African singers.
