Miss Universe 2019 was held at the Tyler Perry Studios over the weekend in Atlanta and was won by Miss South Africa, Zozibini Tunzi.
Zozibini has now joined a tall list of winners who have won the crown in the past, the crown was passed on to her by Catriona Gray. The beauty pageant was hosted once again by Steve Harvey, see over twenty girls compete for the crown from initial ninety.
Before she was crowned Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini was part of the ninety queens that were taking through different mini-competitions to reduce the number to twenty, then ten, leading to the crowning moment/
Zozibini has now joined fellow South Africa, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, who won the crown in 2017. She started a campaign to fight against gender-based violence against women in South Africa, the campaign encourages men to write love letters to women.
At this year’s event, we spotted a lot of beautiful queens that were equally deserving of the crown, but just like in all competition, one person has to be the winner.
