The 2018 Miss Universe Ghana was held at the Labadi Beach Hotel on Saturday, September 15. The new queen was crowned to take over from the 2017 winner, Ruth Quarshie, who represented brilliantly for Ghana by coming 16th on the world stage last year.
This year, the main show saw performances from hitmakers such as King Promise and Adina. The night started on the red carpet where every star was super stunning. Adina welcomed guests to the hall with a beautiful stage performance, King Promise and the ten finalists showed off some well-rehearsed moves on stage with the ladies in bikinis.

It was then down to business as usual for talent section of the show, where they were whittled down to the top five. The judges submitted tough questions to the ladies, who one by one proved their rich knowledge on social issues. The ladies were Omar again cut down to top 3 and Akpene Diata Hoggar emerged the winner, leaving Tekor Auetteh as first runner-up and Silvia Commodore as second runner-up.
The show ended with huge congratulations for the winner and encouragement for her to do more for Ghana on the world stage.
