The call for diversity and inclusion in the modelling and fashion industry is everywhere but, not everyone is practising it.
British supermodel, activist and philanthropist, Naomi Campbell, wasn’t excepted from experiencing discrimination based on colour and background. She told the Paris Match in an interview how she and her friends were prevented from entering a hotel during the just-concluded Cannes Film Festival in France, “I was recently in a town in the south of France, while the Cannes Film Festival was going on, where I was invited to take part in an event in a hotel that will remain nameless,” she said.
Naomi has been a firm advocator for inclusion for all, she has constantly supported the movement. Earlier in the year, she revealed the racist treatment at a young age, when she was just new in the modelling industry.
