The UK is about to witness a thrilling musical theatre drama, titled Oliva Tweest: The AfroMusical, written by Yinka Ayinde and Nana Duncan. The show will kick off its tour of the country from London, Coventry and Manchester in October 2018, but before the tour begins, the organizers have announced three new faces in addition to the cast.
Internationally acclaimed Nigerian comedian and media guru, Eddie Kadi will continue in his capacity as the host of the show throughout the UK tour. Faces that have added to show include, Latisha Antoine, Luke Wilson and then Emmanuel Imani, who is making a return to the show after a few years away.
The new cast holds a vast degree of experience in the theatrical industry, Latisha Antoine (Plays Joanna) is an alumnus of the prestigious Anna Fiorentini Theatre and Film School and has performed in Dick Whittington and His Cat at Hackney Empire and Broadway Theatre. She played the lead role in Eternal Ages at Shaw Theatre last year. Latisha has also starred in BBC Three drama Excluded and performed with Leona Lewis at the Royal Albert Hall and BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend festival.

Oliva Tweest: The AfroMusical tells the story of an African living in London who has the ambition to shake off his old habit of winning the attention of women, and plans to organize an ultimate concert to attract his idol and Afrobeats legend D’Banj, naming it after the musician’s global hit ‘Oliver Twist’. But when he finds out that the landlord of his chosen concert venue intends to convert the building into a church, Tobi is forced to disguise his true intentions.
