The first original series from Africa by Netflix titled Queen Sono has been premiered in Johannesburg with local stars.
Popular actress, model and media personality, Pearl Thusi played the lead character in the series. The premiere was attended by other South African stars including Cassper Nyovest, Nadia Nakai, Thando Thabethe, and several others.
Queen Sono started making waves on the internet when it was announced by Netflix. Heavily made with the cast mainly from South Africa and other African countries. The first episode was released on February 28th.
The series was directed by Kagiso Lediga and Tebogo Malope, and executively produced by Tamsin Andersson.
