Rihanna is paying attention and creating brands that embody an all-inclusiveness for a greater future in all industries.
This and many other attributes showcased by the singer, businesswoman and an overall mogul made her the right fit for i-D Magazine. The magazine is celebrating its fortieth anniversary together with Rihanna and other change-makers. The latest edition of the magazine is named Rihannazine, this is to recognize and show appreciation for the works the pop musician has done over the years in the industry.
“Reaching this milestone deserved something monumental. Something we’ve never done before in our 40-year history,” Editor-in-Chief of i-D Magazine, Alastair McKimm said. “And who better to collaborate with on this special edition than the woman who embodies charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent? A woman who is a voice for change, inclusivity, authenticity, diversity and female empowerment.”
“Working with Rihanna we handpicked the people featured in this project for many different reasons; they may all represent different things but what unites them is that everyone featured in these pages is incredibly inspirational. They are artists, writers, activists, musicians and women on the front lines of the fashion industry demanding change,” he added.
“For me, this very special issue of i-D represents change and culture,” Rihanna said. “It is dedicated to some of the people who are progressively reshaping the communities across fashion, music, art, and activism — creating a more inclusive and diverse future.”
Other changemakers featured in Rihannazine includes Gigi Hadid to Lena Waithe, Alexa Demie to Paloma Elsesser, Adwoa Aboah and Yolanda Renee King.
