Reading is a habit, you can develop it with time, Africans have over the years been criticized for being lazy with reading hence, the popular saying ‘If You Want to hide something from a black person, put it in a book’.
That is gradually changing and for what we know, most Africans are now embracing literature, researching from other sources and coming up with stories that the world is interested in now.
The second edition of the ‘Abantu Book Festival‘ took place in Soweto, South Africa and from the photos we have, it was a well-patronized event which is a good sign.
