Tennis Champion, Serena Williams was in Detroit for the Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit.
Together with other groups of young business professionals – Harlem’s Fashion Row founder, Brandice Daniel, rapper 21 Savage, born Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, Blows CEO, Nia Batts and more who are participating in this year’s summit, at the Masonic Temple where she discussed her love for fashion and launching her own line which debuted at the New York fashion week in September.

“I always joked that somewhere in between winning Wimbledon’s and U.S. Opens, I was in school doing fashion projects,” Williams said.
“It was really cool because we just launched in May and they call us a year later inviting us to fashion week, when you go to fashion school, you dream of doing a fashion show in New York,” she added.
