Well-admired Rwandan choreographer, Sherrie Silver for her recent masterpiece work in the video for ‘This Is America‘, a song by American singer Childish Gambino which talks about all the socio-economic and political changes facing America now.

Taking it a step further, the award-winning dancer has partnered with giant footwear manufacturing company, Nike to teach numerous of her afro-dance fanatics how to properly perfect each dance step.

Well planned to the basics, the choreography the seemingly difficult moves are easy to follow for the ordinary viewer. She starts with the South African ‘Gwara Gwara’ dance, flagged by two of her backup dancers. Because this is Sherrie, she added her own twist to the Gwara Gwara, with a move she calls ‘the windmill. We were pleasently surprised when she also broke into the ‘Galala’ dance from Nigeria. We have been practising this at the GA Headquarters for months now with no brag-worthy results!

The pace of the dances quicken when she took us to Rwanda for Ikinimba dance with easy to learn steps yet requires you to put a lot of energy to mastwer it correctly. She then finished the African dance tour back in South Africa, wowing us eith the ‘Vosho’.

Watch all the dance moves below, we have already started practising some! Let us know in the comments if you mastered her lesson!
