Sophie Fiennes To Direct “Song Of My Life” -Grace Jones First Documentary With BBC

At its 25th Anniversary, the BBC announced Sophie Fiennes to direct a Grace Jone’s documentary captioned “Song of My Life”

The documentary has been described as,

“a cinematic journey into the private and public worlds of Grace Jones, mixing intimate personal footage with unique staged musical sequences.”

The Beeb describes the film as an

“observational portrait”

and

“a multi-narrative journey through the private and public realms of the legendary singer and performer”.

Jones, who has been credited with influencing everyone from Beyonce, to Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj will also be releasing a memoir in the near future with published Simon & Schuster.

A trilogy box set of her iconic Disco music will be released on May 4th this year.
