Grime superstar, Stormzy readies new album – Heavy Is The Head.
Stormzy, born Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr., shared the new album title and date of release to be December 13th. The UK-based musician of Ghanaian origin continues to make a strong impact on the music industry.
Heavy Is The Head is Stormzy’s sophomore album after releasing Gang Signs & Prayer in 2017. Stormy teams up with Afrofusion act Burna Boy and pop singer Ed Sheeran on Own it, and also other household and budding acts on the new album.
Previously released records such as Vossi Bop and Wiley Flow, have been added to Heavy Is The Head. Stormzy shared the cover and official tracklist of the album ahead of the December release, however, it’s available for pre-order.
He became the first black-British solo act to headline the Glastonbury festival 2019 in June. Additionally, he announced a scholarship programme with Cambridge University to benefit black students in the United Kingdom.
Additionally, he is set to feature in the forthcoming Noughts & Crosses television series by the BBC.
