Once again the power of social media has lifted a group of young street dancers called the ‘Dream Catchers’ in Ikorodu, Lagos, founded by Seyi Oluyole in 2014. Her dream is to take kids off the street and use dance as a medium to help them develop a love for school.
The group’s passion and determination were met with good faith when the Bajan-Born pop star, Rihanna posted one their video to celebrate the news of becoming the first female singer in history to gain to 2Million streams on Apple Music.
Rihanna’s post caught the attention of other celebrated superstars like American rap mogul and businessman, Sean John Combs (Diddy) and International supermodel, Naomi Campbell who shared celebrate videos to express their love for the group.
Naomi Campbell promises to meet them soon, and now that she is in Nigeria for the ARISE Fashion Week. We hope she finally meets them before leaving.
