If there is anything that 2018 has thought within this short period of time, we will say, it has encouraged women in the world to speak up and do away with the popular notion that – Silence is golden.

The campaign to create awareness on the abuse women within the creative arts industry suffer started from Hollywood this year, and it has been accepted quite well which gives us a lot hope that the future is bright. Women will no longer have to be quiet on some of the ordeals they face within the industry.

Former Big Brother Naija 2018 housemate, Ifu Ennada released a short film titled Tears Of A Broken Virgin in 2016, directed by Benedict (Benny) Alli Atagagame. The actress/presenter explained the reason for shooting the film. She revealed through a post on social media (Instagram) that she was raped by a well-known entertainer.

The led character, Ada in the film embarked on a revenge mission after she was raped. She confirmed some parts of the film are fictional but the majority of the scenes are based on the ordeal she went through.
