Yes! You heard me! Drop the bottle and replace the bowl!

The Smoothie Bowl is the latest craze for all of you who are not into instagram food porn; a subtle change to the smoothie has taken over food blogs everywhere. Seen as an alternative way to get your vital 5 a day, it has a slightly thicker consistency due to addition of ice, frozen fruits and vegetables and protein powders.

If you have kids, this can be a fun and creative way to get them consuming those essential vitamins in the morning or as an afterschool snack.

Either way we at Glamafrica are appreciating the new incentive to get us on our 5 a day flow.

Here are 3 of my favourite so far:

“Having had troubles with my weight, I feel compelled to help others through effective weight management with a healthy diet. I believe a heavily plant based diet is best, there is no doubt that fruits and vegetables carry significant life improving factors when combined with lean meats, fish and whole grains. The topic of nutrition is always changing and this is what I love most about it, we all eat but what we eat is different so why should we follow the same advice?
My goal is to inspire people to try new ways of discovering food through different lifestyles which encourage variety and enjoyment of food.”
