We all know how daunting it is figuring out what to pack for a week, a month, or an entire year abroad to a place you’ve never visited before . So, to help your struggle , we’re sharing 3 essential tips to guide you on your travel journey.
Tip #1: What Clothes to Bring
Deciding on what clothes to bring is dependent on the climate of your chosen destination. For hot climates; a brim hat will definitely come in very handy m, alongside simple tank tops or sleeveless tops that can easily mix and match with different bottoms, shorts, light cotton pants and/or leggings and a pair of hiking or running shoes. For cooler climates long-sleeved shirts for layering, t-shirts, 2–3 tunic shirts or dresses and a pair of jeans or thick pants would be good. It’s always helpful to know the climate of your destination, that way you can pack only useful clothes.
Tip #2: Toiletries to Bring;
It is always safe and best to pack your own essential toiletries with extras (depending on the duration of your trip), running out of essential toiletries such as soap and cream may be hazardous as you may not find the particular brand your skin is used to. Plus trying new brands of soap and cream in different climates is not advisable. In any case, you will always need;
- Toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss
- At least one deodorant
- Travel first aid kit
- Small container of body wash
- Refillable travel bottles (shampoo, conditioner, face soap)
- 1–2 palettes of eye shadow (smoky and neutrals)
- 1 light powder foundation and bronzer
- 2–3 application brushes
Tip #3: Practical Items;
Practical items always come in handy and you don’t want to be in a new city stranded navigating language barriers and desperate shopping. Practical items that you should always pack include; power banks, phone charger, sunglasses, camera, waist bag, wigs, light jewelry, ID, back pack etc Remember, take only what you need.
