US-based Ghanaian designer and Off-White CEO and Creative Director of Louis Vuitton Menswear Virgil Abloh has teamed up Swedish furniture giant, Ikea on a limited collection.
Virgil Abloh has recently teased on his new collaboration with Ikea, where he created a limited edition of homewares for the furniture giant. The collection which was announced in a live interaction on social media as titled MARKERAD, will consist of a green turf doormats, Wet Grass, a toolbox which reads Homework, Monalisa art, a distorted mirror, a slew of rugs, a few chairs, Chaise Longue Cushion, and other items designed to turn your home into a beautiful art space.
From the prices shown from the press unveiling for some of the items, the Monalisa art will cost €49 ($56, £44.08), the Wet Grass will cost €279 ($320, £251.02), the distortion mirror will cost €159 ($183, £143.00), the Chaise Longue Cushion will cost €100 ($115, £89.94), and more. Ikea has also announced the release date for the collection to be November 1.
Virgil Abloh continues to excel in the fashion, music and furniture world with his amazing designs, he is currently the artistic director at Louis Vuitton menswear department and runs his label Off-White in addition to his side hobby as a DJ.
