Based on a true-life event, director R.J. Daniel Hanna carefully translated that unto the screen with Uzo Aduba, real name Uzoamaka Nwanneka “Uzo” Aduba.

Uzo played Walden Ford in the movie Miss Virginia, an impoverished mother who had to take drastic measures to private and keep her 15-year old son in school. When the temptation of dropping out of school and becoming part of drug dealers came knocking on the doors of her son, she moved him to a private school to keep him focused on his education. But, the challenges came when she could no longer afford to pay the tuition fees for her in his new school.

Armed with ideas to transform the educational sector with her new campaign but faced with opposite views from corrupt politicians, drug lords and more. Uzo must stand tall in the midst of these challenges to defend what she believes.

Miss Virginia has other stars such as Amirah Vann, Adina Porter, Vanessa Williams,  Aunjanue Ellis et al and is scheduled for release on October 18th, 2019 in the United States of America.
