After starring in over 100 movies in Nollywood and internationally, silver screen goddess, Genevieve Nnaji makes her directorial debut with the movie ‘Lionheart’. A production that was completed in 2017, it will be officially premiered at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival.

‘Lionheart’ is packed with notable names in Nollywood such as Nkem Owoh, Pete Edochie, Onyeka Onwenu and Genevieve herself, with the storyline revolving around Adaeze played by Genevieve, whose father owns a transportation company which she co-runs. However, her father falls sick and she has to now see to daily operations, with her uncle, Godswill.

 

The story tackles everyday issues that companies are confronted with from employee harassment, the financial crisis and more, all blended with comedic moments. Make sure to catch it at the Toronto International Film Festival scheduled from September 6 to 16, 2018.
